We, at the PYFC are excited to see you here and engage in our various programs and services. PYFC is a positive space that has succeeded in creating a sense of belonging and community for youth and their families. Other Programs

Leadership Development

The PYFC provides youth the opportunity to acquire leadership skills by organizing informative community workshops, leadership retreats and community improvement projects bi-weekly on Thursdays from 3:30-6:30pm.

Academic Support

​Tutoring & College Readiness- UCLA, SMC, and interns provide tutoring for youth including college and GED Preparatory every Wednesday from 3:30-6:30pm.

Gender Specific Support Group

Come and be a part of this exciting group of both young men and women working to make a change in the community. The groups are open to PYFC members, specifically those who would like to build leadership skills, develop their self identity and organize community events. Both Guys and Girls Group meets every Tuesday from 4-5:30pm.

Referral Services

PYFC helps assist youth in setting goals in key areas for improving their future by collaborating with partnering agencies and other organizations Monday-Friday from 11-7pm and by appointment.

Drop-In

PYFC provides a safe space for youth Monday- Friday from 11-7pm. Drop-In services include wrap around services, such as learning life skills, attaining job readiness skills and general tutoring and mentoring.

Case Management

Youth get help with employment opportunities, academic support and community services. Through case management youth are provided resources to assist them in reaching their goals by creating achievement plans. We do resume building, search through job listings and help with filling out applications. Also, we help with personal needs such as getting a driver’s license and referrals for support services Monday-Friday from 11-7pm and by appointment.

Life Skills (Job readiness, Employment Service Referrals and Placement)

The PYFC partners with community agencies to provide job development and employment services. Participants receive services in the areas of resume development, applications and interview techniques. Job referrals are also available Monday-Friday from 11-7pm and by appointment.
