PYFC Film Fellowship Accepting Applications

The Pico Youth & Family Center is proud to announce it’s first official Film Fellowship Program!  Developed by partnering company, Good Omen Pictures, the PYFC Film Fellowship is a three-month summer conservatory program for aspiring filmmakers to delve deeper into the art of film and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Our summer conservatory is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the filmmaking process, from pre-production to post-production. Participants will learn the fundamental elements of storytelling, scriptwriting, cinematography, editing, and sound design, all while honing their creative vision and technical skills.

Throughout the program, students will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, including professional-grade cameras, sound equipment, and editing software. They will work closely with experienced filmmakers and industry professionals who will guide them through every stage of the filmmaking process and provide invaluable feedback and support. In addition to technical training, our summer conservatory also emphasizes collaboration and teamwork.

Students will work together to create their own short film, culminating in a final screening that showcases their work to the wider community. This summer conservatory is an intensive and rewarding experience that is perfect for anyone who is passionate about filmmaking and wants to take their skills to the next level. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced filmmaker, our program offers a supportive and inspiring environment that will help you grow as an artist and a storyteller.

This program is for ages 16 – 24, and free for applicants.  We accept 10 students per Fellowship year.  June 5th – August 25th.
